Christopher D. Young dies of injuries from I.E.D.
LOS ANGELES, Mar. 7, 2007 - Flags were being flown at half-staff Wednesday at the state Capitol in honor of a 20-year-old Los Angeles California Army National Guard soldier killed in Iraq.
Spc. Christopher D. Young of Los Angeles died Friday from injuries when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle in Safwen, Iraq, officials said.
Young was assigned to Company C, 3rd Battalion, 160th Infantry Regiment, California Army National Guard, San Pedro.
